Success story: FoodTech

DMA Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH & Co. KG (DMA), Schwarte Processing and Hänsel Group GmbH – three companies that were previously part of the Possehl Mittelstandsbeteiligungen division now form a new business unit called HF FoodTech Group with HF Press+LipidTech.

In the future, the new unit will be managed under the umbrella of Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH, which will then form the third pillar as the HF FoodTech Group with sales of around €100 million and 550 employees, alongside the existing units HF Mixing Group and HF TireTech Group.

The HF FoodTech Group combines machine and plant engineering for the food, feed and pharmaceutical industries.

With this spin-off, Possehl Mittelstandsbeteiligung has once again demonstrated that it is suitable as an incubator for smaller, medium-sized companies, which can then generate synergies and cooperation potential in a larger group.

With the move into the new company building in Hamburg and an orientation of all work processes towards fast and digital communication as well as environmentally conscious working, Harburg- Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH is geared for the future. Engineering, technical know-how, state-of-the-art processes in manufacturing as well as established and experienced procurement, marketing and sales structures and a broad-based service network worldwide offer synergy effects across different industries.

Technology and know-how transfers and the use of the existing network between the business units, taking into account the specific requirements of the industries, ensure success and support the growth of each individual business unit.

Mechanical engineering is facing new challenges: Automation and digitalization of manufacturing processes require know-how and investment power, both of which are available at HF and are used in a targeted manner to strengthen the business units of Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH and maintain competitiveness.

The established companies, brands, contact persons and contact details will remain.

We look forward to the developments of the newly acquired business unit and will use the existing resources and structures to promote positive development.
